Astronauts aboard the International Space Station threw a pizza party in space.
The ingredients were delivered to the spacecraft after Italian Space Agency astronaut Paolo Nespoli “casually mentioned” how much he missed pizza.
When you really, really miss pizza... you CASUALLY mention it to the International @Space_Station Boss during a live public event 😉 Thank you Kirk for surprising us with unexpectedly delicious pizzas! #VITAmission pic.twitter.com/WstvG3IKr1

NASA's ISS Program manager Kirk Shireman came through for the crew, sending up the pizza components with a recent supply ship.
In a now-viral video, the team recorded themselves making the pies with zero gravity.
NASA’s Randy Bresnik called the personal pizzas “flying saucers of the edible kind.”
Bresnik dubbed the crew the “Intergalactic Pizza Devouring Squad,” or IPDS.
