FBG Cash was struck at least 13 times near a gasoline station, WFLD-TV reported. The 31-year-old musician, whose real name was Tristian Hamilton, was pronounced dead at an area hospital, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

A 29-year-old woman was shot in the left arm and upper back and was taken to the same hospital, where she was listed in serious condition, the newspaper reported.

The shooting occurred at about 5:30 a.m. CDT, WGN-TV reported. Police said Hamilton and the woman were inside a vehicle when a black four-door sedan, possibly a Cadillac, cut him off in traffic, WLS-TV reported. According to a police report, two people exited the sedan and began firing.

Police found 23 shell casings at the site, the Sun-Times reported.

Hamilton was part of a group of rappers known as the “Fly Boy Gang,” according to the newspaper. Nearly two years ago, another member of the group, FBG Duck, was killed in Chicago by four masked shooters, the Sun-Times reported.

Four members of a street gang faction were charged with the murder of FBG Duck, whose real name was Carlton Weekly, WMAQ-TV reported.

No arrests have been made in Hamilton’s death. His booking agent could not be reached for comment on Friday, NBC News reported.
