One-half of the lifestyle megabrand Magnolia is putting his signature look on the line for charity.
Chip Gaines will cut his hair to help St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, the “Today” show reported.
For every milestone reached in the fundraiser, Gaines will cut off an additional inch of hair.
Gains held “Operation Haircut” four years ago, raising $230,000.
Recently, Gaines’ hair has gotten the attention of fans with some speaking out on social media asking him to cut his long hair, saying they aren’t loving his new look, CinemaBlend reported.
He grew out his hair during the coronavirus pandemic and the shutdown of barbershops. It was also a bucket list item for him, Gaines told Access Hollywood earlier this year.
The fundraiser runs through the week, “Today” reported.
Wife Joanna Gaines said her husband’s new look had grown on her, adding “I really, actually like it,” People magazine reported.
