Palm reader charged with stealing more than $70K from client

SOMERSET, Mass. — A woman in Somerset, Massachusetts, who owns a palm reading business is accused of stealing tens of thousands of dollars from a client and police are concerned more people may have fallen victim to her alleged scam.

Police launched an investigation into Tracey Milanovich, owner of Tracy’s Psychic Palm Reader on County Street, after a resident reported Milanovich tricked her into giving her about $71,000, according to Somerset Police Chief George McNeil.

McNeil said his detectives discovered Milanovich convinced the victim her daughter was possessed by a demon and cash and household items were needed in order to rid her daughter of the spirit.

In addition to the money, the woman also bought multiple household items for Milanovich, like towels and bedding.

Police arrested Milanovich on Friday.

The 37-year-old was arraigned in Fall River District Court on Monday on six counts of obtaining property over $250 by trick, larceny over $1,200 and intimidation of a witness.
