Twitter erupted with criticism toward the company after one user discovered a "Fat Girl Costumes" section of its website last Tuesday.

— Kristyn Washburn (@ItsWithaY) Walmart initially responded, briefly, stating "Your comments and suggestions are important to us and help make Walmart even better."
That sub-section remained active until just after 12 p.m. today.
A Walmart spokesman told Buzzfeed they only heard of it this morning and that "this never should have been on our site. It's unacceptable, and we apologize."
Walmart's site now redirects clicks to the "Plus-size costumes" page.
