Former Penguin Fleury gets sweet note from 5-year-old daughter after playoff loss

PITTSBURGH — Marc-Andre Fleury is making his 5-year-old daughter proud, as evident by the sweet note she wrote for her dad.

The former Pittsburgh Penguins goalie is in the midst of Round 2 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs with the Vegas Golden Knights. His team lost the first two games against the Colorado Avalanche.

Fleury’s daughter, Scarlett, isn’t focusing on the losses. Instead, she expressed her love and admiration for her dad in a note, which was shared Thursday on Instagram by Fleury’s wife, Veronique Larosee Fleury.

“Last nite you made me happy Dad. You stop pucks and that made me proud Dad. I love you! Keep stoping ol the pucks. In my hart you are the best goly,” Scarlett’s note said.

Scarlett’s note was complete with a drawing of her dad in net.
