Former Steelers guard Alan Faneca and wide receiver Hines Ward were among the 27 semifinalists for the Class of 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame announced Tuesday evening.
Faneca spent 1998 – 2007 with the Steelers and helped the team to win Super Bowl XL over the Seattle Seahawks 21-10. He is a nine-time Pro Bowler, six-time First-Team All-pro and a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers All-Time Team.

Ward spent 1998-2011 with the Steelers and won two Super Bowls (XL & XLIII) in his career. Ward won Super Bowl MVP honors (XL) and was a four-time Pro Bowler for the Steelers.
In January, selectors will reduce the list to 15 finalists, who will join seniors Robert Brazile, Jerry Kramer and contributor Bobby Beathard on the final ballot. The annual selection meeting will take place February 3, the day before Super Bowl LII.
