Brassard took part in the team's optional game day skate Tuesday morning. They play the New Jersey Devil's at PPG Paints Arena Tuesday night.
His arrival in Pittsburgh was delayed by his work visa.
He said he was going a little stir crazy waiting in Toronto for everything to clear so he could fly to Pittsburgh. He arrived late Monday night.
Media on Brassard waiting for his work visa: “Were you going stir crazy up there?"

Brassard: “Yeah, a little bit. Especially when my flight was delayed for two hours… I came in late last night. I’m glad to finally be here. I still can’t really believe that I’m here right now.”
Brassard said it’s “pretty surreal” to have a chance to play with some great players.
