PITTSBURGH — Fresh off their second Stanley Cup win in two years, The Pittsburgh Penguins released on Monday their 2017-18 preseason schedule, which will start with a game at Penn State University’s Pegula Ice Arena.
The game at Pegula Ice Arena will be played Sept. 19 at 7 p.m. against the Buffalo Sabres.
On Sept. 20, the Penguins will take the ice at PPG Paints Arena for their home preseason opener against the Detroit Red Wings.

For the second time in three years, the Penguins will play in the Kraft Hockeyville USA game, which will be broadcast Sept. 24 on NBC Sports Network. Earlier in the year, Rostraver Ice Garden in Belle Vernon won the 2017 Kraft Hockeyville competition.
The Penguins’ Sept. 30 home game against the Columbus Blue Jackets will be the team’s seventh annual “Free Game for Kids.”
