VANCOUVER, Canada — The Pittsburgh Penguins are on a road trip through western Canada. Before a game in Vancouver, team captain Sidney Crosby made a pit stop that made a little boy’s dream come true.

, Memphis Savage, 5, is a Vancouver Canucks fan but his favorite hockey player is Crosby.
He and his family actually live in the town of Sidney, which is near the Canadian town of Victoria.
Savage was recently diagnosed with brain tumors. His father wrote to the Penguins asking if there was any way the little boy could meet his real-life hero, and the team came through.

Memphis and his father, grandfather and uncle hung out with Crosby at a Vancouver hotel for 45 minutes before the Penguins played the Canucks last weekend.
They talked about Memphis’ shoes and his fighting spirit,
The family then watched the game, using tickets from the Canucks. The Penguins won the game 3-0.
