No fans for Penn State fall sports, as of now

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — As of now, there won’t be any fans at Penn State’s fall sporting events, according to a letter from Sandy Barbour, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics.

Current state guidance limits capacity to 250 people for outside events and 25 people for inside events.

Because of this, Barbour said, “our fall sports events would be conducted without fans in the general seating areas of our facilities.”

However, Barbour continued by saying, “We continue to work with the governor’s office to discuss, and possibly be prepared for the opportunity to have spectators at our fall Penn State sporting events.”
