PITTSBURGH — Major League Baseball announced Sunday that Pirates’ infielder Josh Harrison has been named a reserve player for the National League All-Star team.
Harrison, 29, will be making his second appearance at the All-Star Game.

In 2014, he was the first utility player named to the National League All-Star team since Omar Infante in 2010. Harrison played the final three innings in left field during the 2014 All-Star Game and went hitless in two at-bats.
Harrison has made 42 starts at second base, 28 starts at third base and five starts in left field for Pittsburgh this season, in addition to making one appearance in right field.
In 79 games with the Pirates this season, Harrison has produced a .368 on-base percentage and is hitting .288 with 16 doubles, two triples, nine home runs and 27 RBI.
