PITTSBURGH — The bitter, bone-chilling cold is back for the region.
Overnight lows will drop into the single digits for many areas the next few nights. In Pittsburgh, the temperature will hove around 10 degrees overnight.

High temperatures on Wednesday won’t get out of the teens. If you haven’t already, make sure you’ve got hats, gloves, scarves and layers if you or your kids have to spend any time outdoors. This is bordering on dangerously cold temperatures for our area.
Keep the snow gear handy as well. We have another shot for accumulating snow Thursday night and Friday as another system is on the doorstep. Right now, areas close to the city could see an inch or 2 of accumulation, but accumulation looks light for the vast majority of the area.
That system will once again bring another round of bitter Arctic air to the region.
