Rain in the area through the afternoon

PITTSBURGH — Showers and a few pockets of moderate rain will be in the area through the afternoon. Watch for flooding, especially in poor drainage areas and along creeks and streams.

You’ll see more clouds than sun through a good part of Thursday but look for a few bright spots through the afternoon. A pop-up shower or storm might disrupt your outdoor plans, but widespread severe weather is not expected.
