Freezing temps, snow flurries Saturday giving way to mild weekend

PITTSBURGH — It’ll be a quick shift from winter to spring this weekend, as temperatures climb nearly 20 degrees by Sunday.

Layer up with coats, hats, gloves and scarves Saturday – as wind chills drop into the single digits to start the day. A few snow showers or flurries will also be possible but should not cause too many problems.

Milder temperatures move in Sunday and we’ll see the sun! You’ll want to shake off the cabin fever and head outdoors, maybe even wash the car.

A warming trend continues next week, but it comes with wet weather.

Severe Weather Team 11 is tracking several days of rain showers, with the possibility of some steadier rain – which could cause localized flooding.
