PITTSBURGH — A man was killed by gunfire Wednesday evening in Pittsburgh’s Homewood neighborhood, police said.
Officers were alerted by a ShotSpotter notification to as many as 27 rounds fired shortly after 6:30 p.m. along Inwood Street. Police also received 911 calls.
When officers got to the scene, they found 34-year-old Durell Lipford in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Paramedics pronounced him dead.
Police said they do not have any suspect descriptions.
