11 Cares teams up with Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation:
11 Cares and its partners are teaming up with the Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation for a technology drive.
The Foundation is holding a “Pack the Bus” event at Stage AE on August 15 from noon until 4 p.m. You can drop off used laptops or tablets, or make a monetary donation.
The event is part of Connecting Kids, a summer-long technology drive to bridge the divide with connectivity for Pittsburgh-area students. It’s a group initiative between The Jerome Bettis Bus Stops Here Foundation, The Education Partnership and Computer Reach.

Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra goes digital:
The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is going virtual!
Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, today we announce a reinvented 2020-21 season with newly created digital programming that will be free to the public, as previously scheduled concerts through December 2020 have been cancelled.

The Orchestra plans to launch its 125th season digitally this fall -- and it will be free to the public.
The series will include ensembles of the Orchestra as well as community artists and partners when possible.
All remaining in-person concerts from September to December of 2020, however, have been canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
