1 man dead, 1 man charged after Stowe Twp. shooting

STOWE TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Police on Sunday arrested a 20-year-old who allegedly shot and killed another man in Stowe Township early that morning.

The fatal shooting occurred at 604 Pleasant Ridge Drive at approximately 6 a.m.

Once at the scene, authorities found a 22-year-old man who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. That man was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was later identified by the Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office as Tyrae Evans. Originally from Virginia, Evans had been staying in Stowe Township since January of this year.

An investigation initiated by detectives from the Allegheny County Police Homicide Unit identified Desmon Wilson as the alleged gunman. After tracking him down, Wilson was charged with homicide and firearms violations.

Wilson is being held at the Allegheny County Jail while he awaits arraignment.
