NEW SEWICKLEY, Pa.,None — More than 60 chickens were killed when a barn burned down in New Sewickley.
The farmer said a heat lamp may have sparked the fire.
The barn burned all night.
Firefighters said the fire had burned itself out by the time they arrived this Sunday morning.
About 25 chickens and three cows survived the fire.
"We'll have to call a vet to come look at them, see if there's something we can do. Hopefully they'll make it," farmer Fred Ward said.
Ward said he plans on rebuilding the barn which was built in 1968.
