PITTSBURGH,None — Pittsburgh police said they arrested a 53-year-old Allison Park man on Monday in connection with three recent bank robberies.
Investigators said Dennis Schell was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery. Police said they believe he is responsible for twice robbing a First Commonwealth Bank in Bloomfield and a Citizens Bank at Waterworks Mall.
Police said in each case, Schell walked into the bank and demanded cash from a teller. Investigators said he told the tellers that he had a gun.
Schell was arrested after robbing the First Commonwealth Bank in Bloomfield on Monday, police said, after a bank security guard followed him and alerted police.
Investigators said Schell was inside of a home on Edmond Street when he was taken into custody.
Schell was taken to the Allegheny County Jail.
