Attempted carjacking leads to police chase through 2 counties

Police say four people are in custody following an attempted carjacking that led to a chase through two counties.

The Whitehall Police chief tells Channel 11, the suspects are one adult and three juveniles.

Police say they stole one vehicle in the city of Pittsburgh then attempted to steal a second in Whitehall.

That's where they were confronted by officers and the chase began.

The chase came to an end on Route 837 in Washington County, near the West Penn Power Mitchell Station.

Nearly a dozen police cars surrounded the vehicle.

No injuries were reported.
