Beaver Falls Remembers Student Killed By Train

BEAVER FALLS, Pa.,None — The first day of school since a classmate was killed was difficult for many at Beaver Falls High School Monday.

Friends and family continued to mourn the death of Taylor Donnadio with an assembly in her honor.

Officials said Donnadio left school on Friday in the middle of the day and stepped in front of a train.

"Her brother-in-law did a piece. He played the guitar and sang a song for her," Steve White said. "Her dad gave a speech and her twin sister gave a speech. They were so heartfelt and you could just feel their pain.

Students said Donnadio's father told the students they should talk about their feelings and be aware of depression.

"Her dad was just saying if you're in trouble or need help to talk to somebody," Tejuana Slappy said. "He told us to not hold feelings inside."

Donnadio's family said this was especially hard to understand because she seemed like she was always happy.

"The family was thanking us for our support," Slappy said. "They were glad we came out to show them love because they really need it right now."

Beaver Falls students said they will call themselves "Team Taylor" in her honor.
