PITTSBURGH — A Beechwood Elementary School teacher is being investigated for “an allegation of inappropriate use of school technology,” according to letter sent home to parents.
The teacher is on administrative leave pending the completion of the investigation, which is being led by the Department of Homeland Security.
Pittsburgh Public Schools leaders would not clarify what the inappropriate use of school technology entailed, but the letter stated “No determination or direct evidence of misconduct has been established at this time.”
Parents told Channel 11 News that they are concerned and have questions they want answered.
“They should have made it a bigger deal, made it seem like it was something they took care of. This is a big surprise,” Jeremy Horne, a parent, said.
Despite the lack of information, parents said they are confident that the school will keep their children safe.
