Boyce Park snow tubing area now open

A Day With Santa will feature snow tubing in downtown Kennesaw on Dec. 1, 2018.

BOYCE PARK, Pa — Got some cabin fever? Grab the kids and head to Boyce Park for some snow tubing action!

Officials with the Allegheny County Parks Department said the Boyce Park snow tubing area will be open starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday with a base of 30 inches of snow and four lanes.

Public two-hour snow tubing sessions run:

  • Fridays starting at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  • Saturdays starting at 9:30 a.m., noon, 2:30 p.m., 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
  • Sundays starting at 9:30 a.m., noon, 2:30 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Tickets can be purchase in advance online for weekend sessions as well as holidays and Winter Break sessions. The advance cost of a ticket is $17 for county residents and $21 for nonresidents. People can also buy tubing tickets in person at the lodge for all sessions at the beginning of each day.

Saturday is also Santa Ski Day. Skiers and snowboarders dressed as Santa can donate $10 to the Ski Patrol and then hit the slopes for free! CLICK HERE for more details.
