Brett Keisel open to returning to Steelers: ‘I haven't retired'

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Brett Keisel says he’s been training and would be open to discussing a return to the Steelers, according to reports.

"I haven't retired," Keisel told Sporting News. "I've been training. Last year I tore my tricep, so it's been interesting to train and get that tricep back. It's been great getting into the gym and working out."

Brett Keisel's official Facebook page posted the article from Sporting News Thursday afternoon, and wrote:

“Brett Keisel would welcome return to Steelers ... but only Steelers.”

Keisel, who spent his entire 13-year career wearing Black & Gold, wasn’t fond of the idea of playing for another NFL team.

"It's kind of tough for me to see myself in another uniform," Keisel told Sporting News. "It would be tough. I would talk to them -- I don't mind talking to them. It makes me feel good when I'm wanted."

The two-time Super Bowl champion did say he’s enjoying living his life without the aches and pains of football.

"I definitely miss it. But I'm telling you, it's nice on Monday mornings," Keisel told Sporting News. "I feel lucky to have gone 13 years in the National Football League, have the success we had, and I can still chase my kids around the yard. I can still do a swan dive into the swimming pool."
