PITTSBURGH — Loves Furniture & Mattresses, the new furniture retailer started earlier this year amid the bankruptcy of Michigan-based Art Van Furniture, will not have a long-term relationship with Pittsburgh-area shoppers.
The company announced Monday it was exiting the Pennsylvania market to “focus on their core Michigan market.”
The company indicated “a local furniture retailer has agreed to lease the five properties” it has established in Pennsylvania, which includes locations in Altoona and State College, along with Pittsburgh-area stores in North Fayette and Peters Township.
