Lower Hill First Source Employment Opportunity Center opens

PITTSBURGH — On Tuesday, dozens gathered to celebrate the opening of the Lower Hill First Source Employment Opportunity Center, located at the Hill House.

The Pittsburgh Penguins and development partner The Buccini/Pollin Group (BPG) unveiled the new workforce development center and resource hub and also introduced partners that will provide services and referrals for job seekers.

Kevin Acklin, COO and general counsel for the Pittsburgh Penguins, said the Penguins and partners have committed to using the center to source jobs (such as those at PPG Paints Arena). However, he said the entire city will benefit from the opening of the center.
