PITTSBURGH — UPMC President and CEO Jeffrey Romoff saw his total compensation rise to just about $9.5 million in 2019 with increased bonuses and incentives, according to federal tax documents the Pittsburgh-based health system published Friday.
Romoff’s base salary, $1.25 million, was unchanged from 2018 when he received a raise. He brought home $4.5 million in bonus and incentive compensation in 2019, up from $3.81 million in 2018. While the salary data was released Friday for Romoff and all of the organization’s top earners, it is for 2019, all before the Covid-19 pandemic occurred. The rest of the filing is for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2020.
