"X-Finity" is the new name for the company's cable services. Company representatives said Comcast is now offering more HD channels, faster downloading speeds and more on-demand choices.
If you are already a Comcast customer, company representatives said you don't need to do anything to receive the upgraded options. Sales representatives said "X-Finity" will not cost customers any additional fees.
Meanwhile, Verizon Fios has released a new advertisement campaign mocking Comcast's name change.
Channel 11 consumer reporter Robin Taylor found that the best prices with either company are for bundled packages that include television, internet and phone services.
