Hines Ward, 'Dancing' Partner Kym Johnson To Compete Despite Injury

LOS ANGELES,None — "Dancing with the Stars" dancer Kym Johnson, Hines Ward's partner this season, is set to return to the dance floor after being injured during practice on Friday.

Ward wrote on his Facebook page, "Kym was admitted to the hospital after falling and injuring her neck during our practice. After several tests, she was cleared by the medical staff but she is bruised, sore and wearing a neck brace right now. Kym plans to continue with me in the competition and get back to rehearsals as soon as possible."

Johnson was carried out of practice on a stretcher and was taken to an L.A. hospital for treatment.

Johnson and the Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver have remained a favorite to win the Mirror Ball trophy in the show's 12th season, consistently receiving high scores from judges Len Goodman, Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Ward is one of four celebrities remaining on the show, in addition to Kirstie Alley, Chelsea Kane and Ralph Macchio.

On Monday Ward wrote, "Man, Kym is a SOLDIER! She's dancing in her neck brace and will not quit! I want to do my best for her because she's busted her tail to get me where I am today. To me, she is one of us and exemplifies the Steeler way. So thanks the prayers and continue to keep voting for us because every point counts. When we get thru this week because of your VOTES, we intend to bring home the Mirror Ball!"
