BEECHVIEW, Pa.,None — Police are investigating the theft of Christmas decorations from a senior citizen home in Beechview.
Officials said two large light-up angels were stolen from the front lawn of the Beechview Manor senior citizen high-rise on Pauline Avenue Sunday night between 8:30 and 10:30 p.m.
Residents of the building said they are hurt that someone would steal from seniors.
Sister Pat Tittler, who lives in the building, said the decorations were put out for the entire neighborhood to enjoy.
"We did it not only for the seniors in the building, but also for the neighborhood," Tittler said. "And for somebody to come up and do that, and remove them, was heartbreaking."
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact police.
