A former Oregon mayor has developed what he calls "The Kiss Meter."

The Kiss Meter idea came to him in February, and Stu Rasmussen began assembling the contraption with a vintage feel to it.
The machine sends a small electrical current through the kissing couple and analyzes it to come up with a result.
For a mere $0.50, couples get an instant read on their relationship.
Rasmussen says putting the kiss meter in a restaurant is perfect for those on dates because "when you get close to closing time and you have to decide between Mr. Right and Mr. Right Now, maybe you need some empirical measurements to do that."
It hasn't been a cheap creation. Rasmussen estimates he's spent about $10,000. But he says Kiss Meters are already installed in four states.
