La Roche University unveils multi-million dollar renovation of Palumbo Science Center

PITTSBURGH — Officials with La Roche University said their newly renovated science center will be a hub to help meet the growing demand for STEM programming and careers. The ribbon was cut Friday on the new Palumbo Science Center.

University officials said the second floor was completely renovated with state-of-the-art labs, classrooms and offices. That includes a cell culture facility and additional labs for La Roche’s BioSOLVE and ChemSOLVE programs in which students take part in extensive research.

Officials said the new renovations will also help create a more interactive, hands-on environment to meet the changing needs of STEM education.

Classes are set to begin in the new space on Monday.

La Roche University is a private liberal arts university in the North Hills with 66 undergraduate programs.
