ATLANTA — Strong storms outside of Atlanta earlier this week knocked down trees, damaged homes and lightning knocked out power to thousands.
One dazzling lightning strike was even caught on video.

As a bolt of lightning strikes a streetlight, it causes a flash of light, a brilliant explosion, and a shower of sparks.
Along with the frequent lighting, strong storms brought heavy rain and hail to the Atlanta area.
