UNIONTOWN,None — The manager of a wine and spirits store in Uniontown fought off a suspected shoplifter, police said.
The manager said he saw Steven Lach walk out of the store with a $10 bottle of whiskey sticking out of his pocket.
The manager then followed Lach outside and an altercation ensued, police said.
Jenn Shaffer and Deanna Clark were working at the nearby Value Tobacco and said they saw the confrontation.
Soon after, both men came crashing through the window, the workers said.
Police arrived and arrested Lach. He's currently jailed on $50,000 bond.
