4 accused of selling fake Luke Bryan concert tickets arrested in Green Tree

PITTSBURGH — Authorities arrested four men Tuesday at a Green Tree hotel accused of selling counterfeit tickets to Saturday’s Luke Bryan concert at First Niagara Pavilion.

Green Tree police Chief Bob Downey said buyers alerted detectives to the scam after purchasing the tickets on Craigslist.

“They were selling two tickets for $300, and four for $600,” Downey said. “They saw somebody else complain on Craigslist about fake tickets, and found theirs were identical to the fake ones.”

The buyers then arranged to buy more tickets from the sellers, but this time, brought along police.

Authorities said four men from Bronx, N.Y. were charged with forgery. They were 22-year-old Issac Chestnut, 24-year-old Anthony Vincent Costanzo, 32-year-old Nyema Dewitt and 20-year-old Christian Jose Smith.

“Some of the equipment that we found in their possession was indicative of a counterfeit-making operation,” Downey said.

Police said they believe there are about 20 people who purchased counterfeit tickets from the suspects.
