The Freedom Area School District is evacuating students because of another bomb threat.
This time, a notice to families of the district said there was another “emailed bomb threat for all schools.” In the previous three instances, the high school principal was emailed a threat specifically to that building.
The first threat occurred on Aug. 31., the next two were the following week.
The district says all schools are evacuating to satellite locations. Students will walk to the satellite locations with teachers and staff.
Parents are told not to come to campus or the satellite locations, as students are not currently being dismissed and police are blocking roads for students to evacuate safely.
The district says there’s “been no event outside of the emailed threat.” No one is injured.
Channel 11 is reaching out to local police and the FBI to learn more about the investigation into these repeat threats. Check back for updates as we learn more.
