Pittsburgh named one of best cities in country for cycling

PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh has been named one of the best cities in the country for cycling.

The advocacy group People for Bikes released its new rankings, placing Pittsburgh 20th, up from 170th last year.

The group ranked 550 cities based on ridership, safety and other factors.

Pittsburgh plans to add 30 miles of bike lanes and other related infrastructure this year.
