PITTSBURGH — The Andy Warhol Bridge will be closed Saturday and Sunday as workers remove knitted blankets that have covered the structure since mid-August.
The colorful installation was part of the Knit the Bridge project, which was intended to showcase the city’s arts community.
The removed blankets will be cleaned and donated to people in need.
The bridge will re-open Sunday night after returning to its usual golden color.
