Bellevue bar raffling off chance to have first alcoholic drink after 80-year-old liquor ban lifted

BELLEVUE, Pa. — After residents voted to allow retail alcohol sales in Bellevue in May, a local bar will be serving the first drink Friday.

Grille 565 is holding a raffle for the chance to be the person who is able to have that first drink at the bar.

Before the ban was overturned, Bellevue had been a “dry” community since 1935.

Ticket sales from the raffle benefit the North Suburban Chamber of Commerce and the Bellevue Volunteer Fire Department.
