Police: Man suspected in death of woman in Wilkins Twp. shoots self

WILKINS TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A man suspected in the death of a woman whose body was found early Saturday morning near her home in Wilkins Township shot himself, police said.

According to Allegheny County police Lt. Andrew Schurman, police responded to a home in the 600 block of McMasters Avenue about 12:30 a.m. to follow up on a missing person report. A short time later, the missing woman was found deceased in a wooded area across the street.

The Allegheny County Medical Examiner's Office identified the woman as 32-year-old Delicious Jones.

William Arrington, 36, is believed to be responsible for Jones' death, said Schurman. He was found at a family member's residence in Wilkinsburg with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Arrington was taken to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition, said Schurman.

Police continue to investigate.

Anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area of McMasters Avenue around 7 a.m. Friday is asked to call police.
