Mentally disabled boy accused of penning bomb threats on toilet paper at Robinson Twp. theater

ROBINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. — A movie theater in Robinson Township was evacuated Monday night after patrons found several bomb threats written on toilet paper.

The incident happened at the Cinemark Theatre at Settlers Ridge around 8 p.m.

About 600 people were evacuated after someone found a note stating that a bomb would go off at 8:30 p.m.

“Everybody was coming out wondering what was happening. But there was nobody running, nobody screaming, no chaos whatsoever. It was pretty calm,” said one moviegoer.

Police said two other similar notes were also found.

Investigators said a mentally disabled boy later confessed to writing the threats. Police have not said if he’ll face any charges.
