McKEESPORT, Pa. — A firefighter was injured while battling flames at a home in McKeesport Thursday afternoon.
The firefighter is recovering, and the severity of the injuries is unknown.

Officials told Channel 11 News that a man was inside when the fire started, but escaped to safety.
Officials said the blaze was reported in the 500 block of Palm Street around 4 p.m.
Chopper 11 flew over the scene Thursday and showed heavy smoke and flames coming from the house.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
