WEST VIEW, Pa.,None — Police said a woman dressed in a Halloween costume assaulted two customers in a McDonald's drive-thru in West View on Sunday morning.
According to police Melinda Klinge was wearing a beer garden girl costume when a fight broke out at the restaurant at about 4:30 a.m. West View Police released the video to Channel 11 News on Thursday.
Investigators said the fight began when Joseph Kryl yelled at the car in front of him saying, "I want my sandwich."
The driver of the car, Shawn Klinge, then confronted Kryl, which led to a scuffle. Police said a woman in Kryl's car then got out to help him and that's when she was confronted by three women.
Officers said Shawn Klinge's sister hit Olivia Patterson with a high-heeled boot, which caved the woman's head in.
"She was having seizures. My officer held her head so she wouldn't flail her head on the concrete," said West View Police Chief Bruce Fromlak.
Kryl also suffered a broken arm, police said. Patterson is expected to be OK.
Patterson spoke to Channel 11 News on Thursday and said she suffered severe head wounds and had to have staples in her head. She said she is still ill from the attack.
"As soon as she hit me in the head, I was trying to defend myself," Patterson said. "But, the more I kept getting up, the more she kept knocking me down."
Reporter Renee Kaminski also spoke with Klinge's father who said his daughter was defending herself.
Melinda Klinge was arrested and taken into custody. Police said alcohol was involved and more arrests are pending.
