Winter temperatures possible for the weekend, flurries possible for Sunday

PITTSBURGH — A winter chill is in the air this evening so make sure to bundle up before you head out. Temperatures will be in the low 30s this evening and to the mid-20s overnight.

If you are taking down outdoor holiday decor or if you are heading to the Steelers game on Sunday, it will be dry to start and chilly with highs in the upper 30s.

There could be a few flurries or light showers near the end of the game as this next system moves in for Sunday night. The system will start with rain or snow showers before changing to all snow showers through the evening. Slippery travel is possible Sunday night into early Monday morning. Stay weather aware and look for updates on this late weekend system that will impact portions of our area.

Most of next week will be dry until Friday. Temperatures will become seasonably warm starting in the middle part of the week. The next chance of rain will come Friday.
