• Demolition Set To Begin On Poplawski's House

    Updated:

STANTON HEIGHTS, Pa. ,None - Demolition is set to begin this week at the Stanton Heights home where Richard Poplawski fatally shot three Pittsburgh police officers.

Last week a lawyer representing JP Morgan Chase Bank bought the house for costs.

The house was auctioned off because Margaret Poplawski stopped making mortgage payments and back taxes.

Poplawski wanted to delay the auction until she settled a lawsuit against her insurance company, but a judge denied that petition.

JP Morgan Chase paid off the back taxes and donated the house to the Urban Redevelopment Authority.
