NORTH BRADDOCK, Pa. — A driver is facing drug charges after police say he ran a stop sign near a local school bus stop.
On Wednesday, an officer watching the stop at Bell and Jones avenues in North Braddock saw a vehicle disobey the stop sign. The Eastern Regional Mon Valley Police Department said this traffic violation posed a risk to kids who were waiting and crossing streets nearby.
The officer stopped the vehicle, and the driver admitted to having drugs, police say.
Following the incident, the 34-year-old man was charged with possession of marijuana and crack cocaine, plus the traffic violation.
Police remind all drivers to be cautious and obey traffic laws, particularly around children.
