A fugitive is in custody months after shooting at a car at a Beaver County gas station and holding a person at gunpoint.
The U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force says Jalen Sims was arrested on Sept. 12 in Sharon, Mercer County.
Sims was charged with attempted homicide and more back in June, after he shot at a vehicle with two people inside at a New Brighton gas station in what the district attorney called a “complete random act of violence.” The bullet hit just above the windshield, but did not go through. Nobody was hurt.
Sims was also wanted on a federal arrest warrant for violating conditions of supervised release related to a 2021 charge of conspiracy to commit a Hobbs Act robbery.
U.S. Marshal Stephen Eberle said task force members “worked tirelessly to locate and arrest Sims.”
His arrest was made with the help of the Mercer County SWAT team and the Sharon Police Department.
