BRADDOCK, Pa. — Braddock mayor John Fetterman, who is running for U.S. Senate , released a statement  regarding Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s controversial comments about Muslims -- and he used a term familiar to most Pittsburghers.

Trump called for a "total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States" on Monday.

Fetterman also included the definition of jagoff  "for friends in other parts of the state," according to Wikipedia,

"An American English derogatory slang term from Pittsburgh English meaning a person who is stupid or inept. It is most prominent in the Pittsburgh and Western Pennsylvania areas. The Dictionary of American Regional English defines the term as a "general term of disparagement."

Fetterman is vying for the Democratic nomination to challenge Republican U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, who is running for a second term.
He will join a primary field that includes former Congressman Joe Sestak, who narrowly lost to Toomey in 2010, and Katie McGinty.
