• Former Penn Trafford track coach accused of sending suggestive texts to teen in court

    Updated:

TRAFFORD, Pa. - A former Penn Trafford track coach charged with corruption of minors was in court Thursday.

Anthony Boerio is accused of texting a 15-year-old girl last winter, asking her to join him in bed and “listen to the snow plows go by.”

Police said Boerio also asked the girl to dinner and requested to see her in her bathing suit.

Channel 11’s Joe Holden asked Boerio if it was true.

    “Not really,” he responded.

That was all Boerio said to Holden Thursday.

Court papers claim that when interviewed by police, Boerio didn’t deny sending the text messages.  Detectives said he acknowledged remembering that he sent some of them.
